Over £5K in Grants Issued to Vulnerable Households in Fuel Crisis.

The Gowanbank Hub and Crisis announced today that they have facilitated over £5000 in fuel support grants to local residents in immediate fuel poverty.

The Hub crisis support center a charity in Greater Pollok that provides immediate support to families in crisis today announced that , the Charity has facilitated £5300 in emergency fuel grants to locals from across the Greater Pollok Area.

Dawn Peart , Trustee and Children and Families Lead said:

“I am so happy that The Hub are able to provide access to these grants from the Scottish Government. The initiative is making a huge impact on the lives of so many people on the ground.”

The support service that has no paid members of staff has seen an increase in families requesting fuel assistance over the last two weeks.

Leanora Jackson , Trustee and Director of Humanterian Support Said:

“We would ask anyone who is struggling with energy costs to make contact with the hub. The application takes around 10 minutes to complete.”
