The Gowanbank Hub is a Charity in Scotland founded in February 2021. We were officially incorporated in April 2021 as a community interest company and achieved charitable status in September 2021. We are a non-profit a Board of trustees operates the organization to help vulnerable people and families across Glasgow.

Our purpose is to provide support to vulnerable people and act as a trusted voice for the vulnerable people
and families we serve. We must have integrity.

We work quickly, effectively, and efficiently to support our service users. Our approach is to be aware, focus, and act only in the best interest of our service users.

At The Gowanbank Hub, we deliver compassionate help and support, whether responding to an immediate crisis or supporting recovery activity.

We work collaboratively with our network and other partners to make a phenomenal impact on financial and food insecurity, deprivation, Social Isolation, and health inequality across the South of Glasgow.

Our Story - SO FAR

The Gowanbank Hub was “officially” established in February 2021 by our Co-Founders Dawn Peart and Leanora Jackson from a cloakroom within a local primary school and a £100 gift voucher from Tesco Stores (silver burn shopping center ).  The friends formed the organization to help families within a local school in need during the recent Covid-19 pandemic. However, the couple later realized the was a real need for support within the local area.


Having left the school, The Gowanbank Hub has expanded significantly and is thought to be one of the charities within the region.
