If you need immedate help and support in a crisis situation please contact us on 0141 319 5410 or use our online chat facility here.
Your call will be taken by one of our experienced Volunteer Support Workers. Whether you are calling for yourself, or on behalf of a friend, we will offer you a listening ear and take time to listen and offer advice.
We are also able to direct you to other useful services if you have specific requirements which we are unable to assist with directly and immediately.
Your call can be anonymous. Your call is confidential. We do not require to know your name or any personal details. We will keep your information confidential.
We will only share your personal information should be have a legal basis for doing so. Please see our privacy policy.
If we are unavailable to take your call, please leave a message with your contact number and we will call you back.

If you are involved in the sex or sexual entertainment industry in Glasgow and need support with your sexual health, please call us on 01412118610.
Gender Clinic
All initial enquires to the Gender Service should be raised via email to our adult gender team or young people gender team and a member of staff will get back to you. Please provide us with you full name (or name you have registered with at the service) along with your date of birth and address.

Inclusion Team
Sandyford offers additional support to people who may find it difficult to access mainstream services. Our Inclusion Team can help with advice, support, or offer an appointment if you phone 01412118610.

Eating disorders
- Beat helplines and 1-1 web chat. Helpline is open throughout the entire Christmas period. From 24th December – 3rd January, the Helpline is open from 4pm – Midnight daily.
Can someone else speak for me?
Yes. Just have them with you when you call as you need to give permission for us to talk to them.
How can I access Emergency Fuel voucher scheme?
In order to access our emergency fuel voucher scheme, you must present to our crisis support service.
We will carry out an eligibility assessment to make your that you qualify for the scheme.
If you are unable to attended our crisis support centre please speak to our dedicated crisis support team.
Emergency food , Can you help?
We provide immediate access to a three days supply of emergency food and household essentials.
At our crisis support centre we can supply individuals and families with a three day supply of emergency food. There is no referral needed. Simply walk in and speak to on of our volunteer crisis support workers.
- Your will receive the following items in your emergency food parcel.
- Three breakfasts
- Three Main Meals
- Three sweet treats
- Milk
- Tea / Coffee
- 1 Hygiene Pack
- We try to facilate specialist meals for children and young people. However it is not always possible to do so.
Please be aware that we do provide food and household essentials for those in crisis. These packs should not be used to subsidise or replace household shopping.
If we have reason to believe that you are abusing our service we may ask you to provided additional information.
The Gowanbank hub crisis support centre reserve the right to ask for proof of circumstances as any point without notice. Failure to provide information when requested may result in use of our service being terminated.
If you are found to be abusing our service The Gowanbank Hub reserve the right to ask you to pay “reasonable cost”.

Government Payments
These are payments made directly to you by the government if you meet certain eligibility criteria.
- Cold Weather Payment
This is an extra payment if you’re receiving certain benefits. If eligible, you’d receive it if the temperature in your area is recorded as, or forecast to be, 0oC or below for 7 consecutive days.
- Winter Fuel Payment
Provides tax-free support to help pay your heating bills if you were born on or before a given date. It’s usually paid automatically if you get the State Pension or another social security benefit – not Housing Benefit, Council Tax Reduction, Child Benefit or Universal Credit.

Homeless project scotland feed and provide support to homeless and vulnerable people. We also act as a trusted voice for the homeless and It is vital that we have integrity. We aim to be effective, efficient, independent and trustworthy. Our approach is to listen, learn, act and then speak.
